Testing

for COVID-19



COVID-19 testing requirements are constantly being updated, and vary between business establishments, including airlines and other transportation entities. The information below answers frequently asked questions about the testing conducted at Ebert Family Clinic.

  1. COVID-19 tests are most urgent for people experiencing symptoms including fever, shortness of breath or new cough, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea.
  2. COVID-19 tests are also available for people who do not have symptoms but need a test for work, travel, or because they were recently in close contact with someone who tested positive. 
  3. If this test is needed for travel, please check with your airline and destination to be sure the results reflect their requirements. Please let staff know of specific requirements and ensure that the results reflect requirements prior to departure. 
  4. If you are a new patient please complete the COVID-19 testing registration form
  5. Ebert Family Clinic only offers GeneXpert Xpress COVID-19 tests. This provides a PCR result.
  6. Ebert Family Clinic COVID-19 testing site requires all patients to have an appointment. 
  7. Many insurance providers cover COVID-19 testing. Please check with your insurance for details.

  9. Negative results do not require confirmatory testing.

Test Results

 
Test results will be sent to the individual’s MyChart account. Results will be available as soon as possible, but may take longer during period of high demand. Printed results may be obtained by request.
